Artist Bio

Leah Beth Flippen is a multidisciplinary artist and interior designer whose work bridges the visible and invisible realms of human experience. From her roots in Paris, Texas, through years of global wanderlust, to her formal training in design at the Art Institute of Dallas and academic pursuit of painting and photography at the University of Texas at Austin, her journey has been one of continuous exploration and deepening artistic vision.

Her practice seamlessly unites the roles of Interior Designer and Fine Artist, dedicated to creating transformative environments and images that resonate with sacred power. Drawing inspiration from the Baroque masters, Pre-Raphaelite luminaries, and classical antiquity, her work carries echoes of art history’s greatest traditions while speaking directly to contemporary consciousness.

Through her multimedia works, she orchestrates visual narratives that combine large format 4×5 analog film photography, digital techniques, and traditional oil media. Each piece emerges through meticulous layering of process and meaning, encoded with esoteric symbolism drawn from her deep study of comparative theology and ancient wisdom traditions.

Her current body of work explores the unifying threads of human spirituality that transcend cultural and racial boundaries. By weaving together myth, allegory, and archetypal imagery, she seeks to create windows into our shared human experience and spiritual heritage.

As we collectively navigate the emergence of artificial intelligence and its impact on artistic expression, Leah is exploring innovative ways to integrate these new technologies with traditional media, aiming to honor both ancient wisdom and emerging possibilities in service of meaningful visual storytelling.
